Our message is simple. We preach the Lord Jesus Christ, and that He was Crucified, Risen, and Coming Again for all who trust in Him as their Saviour. Everything we do here has the same purpose; to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ. "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God." (I Corinthians 10:31)

Our purpose is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ by bringing the saints into a closer fellowship with God and with one another through the study of His Word and obedience to its precepts and by seeking every opportunity to evangelize the lost both in the Fort Myers area and around the world.

Winkler Road Baptist Church was started in 1969 as the Fort Myers Baptist Temple. In 1971 land was purchased on Winkler Road and ground breaking ceremonies were held April 4, 1971. In 1980 the name of the church was changed to Winkler Road Baptist Church. On the first Sunday of February, 1986 Pastor Don Strange came as pastor. God has blessed Winkler Road under his ministry and is reaching Fort Myers with the gospel as well as throughout the world by means of faith-promise missions giving. Winkler Road supports over 160 missionaries around the world.

I want you to know that you will always be welcome and wanted in our services. The Winkler Road choir and music program is truly outstanding. The sermons you will hear will be from the inspired Word of God.
